MWA Engineering was the presenter for the March 4, 2026 evening dinner of the ISEE Potomac chapter meeting. Our presentation was Blast Stress Analysis on Buried Pipelines where we shared our experience with protecting underground utilities. Matthew W. Anderson, PE has been approved as a Structural Engineer in Arizona. While this does not change our core services, it does support his knowledge and abilities in structural engineering.
Matthew W. Anderson, PE adds registration in three new states - Arizona, Colorado and Nevada. While these are individual registrations, it does allow Matthew W. Anderson, PE to provide services as a sole proprietor in these jurisdictions.
MWA Engineering provided sponsorship to two good causes. The first was a golf outing supporting high school scholarships. The second was a clay shoot industry event with the Potomac Chapter of ISEE. Both good causes that are meaningful to us.
MWA Engineering has been retained by Clarke County, VA to provided building code inspections on residential and commercial construction projects. This adds to our current contracts for building code inspections with the City of Ranson, WV and the City of Charles Town, WV.
March 2025 marks MWA Engineering's 10th anniversary. We are appreciative of our clients and proud of the solutions that we have been able to provide.
MWA Engineering provided torque testing on nearly 250 anchor bolts for a distribution racking system. We utilized a state of the art torque wrench to digitally track and record the torque on each anchor bolt.
MWA Engineering has hired Jeff Small as an Engineering Technician. Jeff's primary role will be performing code inspections and assisting with field visits. MWA Engineering is excited about this strategic hire.
MWA Engineering recently commissioned a local artist to develop a new company logo sign for the business. The artist, Domadera Design, developed a unique design featuring engravings of our work overlaid by our logo. The MWA logo and name floats over the background in wood with natural hues of our colors. MWA Engineering is excited about this sign and what it means to the history and future of the company.
